Siemens Gamesa in the Netherlands is currently looking for a Senior HSE Expert.

You will be based in The Hague. On average two or three days per week travelling to SGRE sites in the Netherlands is part of this function.
Experience within the (offshore) wind industry is essential. You have to be educated to the level of Dutch HVK/IVK or equivalent.
You report to the Siemens Gamesa Netherlands HSE Country Officer and will work closely together with the Benelux HSE team.
What are the key responsibilities associated with the job?
- Identifies EHS-related statutory requirements, rules & regulations and EHS aspects.
- Performs risk assessments and defines mitigation measures.
- Provides input for tender/bid phase and supports contracting.
- Develops and updates EHS plan and emergency management concept.
- Ensures that the EHS plan is known and executed by all relevant stakeholders.
- Supports PM to ensure that EHS-related permits are available.
- Implements a training concept.
- Conducts regular site inspections and (sub-) contractor assessments, provides and analyzes regular EHS reports.
- Ensures all incidents are investigated and recorded and appropriate measures are defined, implemented and monitored.
- Escalates in case of non-compliance.
- Promotes the sharing of best practices and documents lessons learned internally and externally.
- Monitoring and ensuring of EHS company certifications compliance and registration.
- Development, mentoring and train (site based) personnel in all requirements coming from local legislations as well SGRE procedures.
- Ensure compliance with the relevant Health & Safety legislation, Siemens Gamesa procedures and Wind Industry best practices.
- Define, update and organize trainings and refreshers regarding the project specific ERP and HSE plan.
- Actively look to improve safety standards.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Solid experience as a HSE professional in the (offshore) Wind Industry.
- Expert knowledge in H&S management systems and risk mitigation strategy.
- Have a recognized H&S qualification on Dutch HVK/IVK level or equivalent.
- Excellent knowledge of the English and Dutch language.
- Good communication skills, teamplayer.
