Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and test next generation of KABAM’s Co-Lab and Halo robots by improving reliability of hardware, connectivity, sensors, perception and navigation systems
- Implement and test robotic systems and software to integrate new robot platforms or extend current supported platforms on KABAM’s Smart+ app and ensure optimal performance and reliability. Work with the front-end team to integrate your solutions into Smart+ our state of the art robot management platform and the back-end team to deploy your solutions in the cloud.
- Conduct system-level testing and validation of robotic prototypes and production models
- Liaise with commercial team to manage technical projects from scoping to deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and software developers, to integrate hardware and software components into robotic systems, as well as with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring timely and successful project completion
- Contribute to overall architecture design and documentation
- Support robot deployment at customer sites remotely around the world
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in robotics and automation technologies, and evaluate their potential applications in our projects.
Requirements:
- Education – Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering with a focus in robotics, mechatronics, or related fields
- Experience – Bachelors (with at least 5 years relevant experience) or Masters (with at least 2 years relevant experience)
- Industry – Previous experience in a robotics company preferred
- Supervisory – Personnel management is nice to have. Project management/technical lead experience is preferred
- Language – English (required), Mandarin (desirable)
- Computing – C++/Python, Linux, git, ROS
