AUXILIARY COMC 110 LAB INSTRUCTOR

INVERMERE CAMPUS

September 5, 2023 - December 8, 2023

Duties: The Hospitality department at College of the Rockies in Invermere requires an auxiliary lab instructor to teach the lab component of COMC 110: Communications for Hospitality Industry in the 2023 fall semester. The instructional assignment is expected to be a face-to-face delivery. The successful candidate will be supporting the Communications instructor, who is teaching the lecture online. The successful candidate will teach a one-hour lab per week for 15 weeks. To view course descriptions and course outlines, go to the College webpage COURSE OUTLINE (cotr.bc.ca).

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Communications or a closely related discipline is required. Preference will be given to candidates with formal ESL education or teaching experience. Preferred qualifications include recent college teaching experience and a demonstrated commitment to the academic needs of all students.

Salary:

As per the Faculty Salary Schedule and depending on qualifications, instructional and related work experience, the salary for auxiliary employees is in a range from $43.59 to 58.51 (This includes 8%Vacation and 8%Benefits). The 15-hour lab includes an additional 7.5 hours of preparation and marking time. The total paid number of hours for this assignment is 22.5 hours.
